The Ohio Association of Career Colleges & Schools presents award to Brown Mackie College – Cincinnati Alumnus, Quincey Montgomery

Quincey Montgomery, a 2008 Brown Mackie College – Cincinnati graduate was presented with the Ohio Association of Career Colleges & Schools (OACCS) Distinguished Alumni Award during the OACCS Annual Meeting held in Columbus, Ohio on November 5, 2010. The award is presented to an alumnus/alumna of a school (no time limit) who has been successful in the workplace as well as making contributions to the community and/or the school. As the recipient of the 2010 award, Quincey received a plaque and the OACCS donated $500 to Brown Mackie College – Cincinnati to be used for a special scholarship for a current deserving student.
Quincey earned an Associate of Applied Business degree in Business Management from Brown Mackie College – Cincinnati and proudly states, “A positive state of mind yields positive results.” Quincey is a very determined man on a mission to succeed. He serves as a Product Supply HR Assistant at the Procter & Gamble Company (P&G). His job duties include providing support in project management and execution. He also plans to continue his college education.
Quincey started at P&G following graduation. If it were not for Brown Mackie College – Cincinnati, I may not be with P&G today,” he says. “The company’s Success Way Co-op Program gave me a chance.”
The P&G Success Way Co-op Program is a program offered to many colleges and universities in the Greater Cincinnati area. Walter Hawkins, a former P&G employee, now a Senior Instructor in the school’s Business Technology Department, consulted with P&G and was very instrumental in bringing the Success Way Program to the school. P&G invited nearly 200 students from Greater Cincinnati area colleges and universities to attend a Success Way Co-op Symposium. Students selected from the symposium, would fill approximately 38 P&G co-op positions. Seven students from Brown Mackie College – Cincinnati were invited to attend the symposium; and of the seven, six students were selected as co-op program participants. All six, including Quincey, are now employed full-time at P&G.
“The flexibility at Brown Mackie College – Cincinnati and the great faculty and staff contributed to my success at the school,”he said. “I thank them all for being there for me through thick and thin.”
